English translation online
I acquired the floppy disks containing the few files that make up Le Seigneur des Ruines during a move in 2015, to a house on Rue des Abeilles, in Sarreguemines (France), where my parents - and a character in the game, as I'll detail later - live. The house, which had to be cleared out after the death of its occupant, wasn't entirely empty; there were still a few musty boxes in the cellar, and a couple of pieces of furniture that Emmaus probably hadn't wanted. One of these pieces of furniture, an old desk, contained all the bric-a-brac you'd expect, as well as a stack of old TILT magazines, a cardboard box containing diskettes for Amstrad CPC and PCs, and a cardboard pocket containing various notes on sheets of notepad paper. I had pocketed all this, a little for the principle, and without any devouring curiosity for the contents of the diskettes. I probably thought that after so many years, they were probably unreadable.
